We are Team Lockdown, based in the San Gabriel Valley!
We started from two students with a passion for FIRST. |
Hello! We are a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics team based in the Greater Los Angeles Region of California. FTC is a global robotics program helping inspire students in the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Team Lockdown’s goal enrich and raise awareness of STEM within our community. Robotics is one way to help students to be engaged with technology. The age of technology is affecting all of our lives and FIRST is helping students around the world become more knowledgeable within the field of STEM. Starting with just two team members, Team Lockdown has since attracted more members to join the team that share an interest in the STEM field. The original founding members of the team, Aaron and Hugo came from their middle school's FIRST Lego League (FLL) program, and when it came time to graduate from the program, there wasn't another FIRST program that they could bridge into within their school district. So with their determination, Lockdown was formed in 2014 out of Aaron's living room. Since 2014, it always has been team Lockdown's mission to spread the awareness of STEM within their local community. By expanding their team and holding numerous public outreach sessions at our local library and community events, team Lockdown's goal of promoting FIRST and STEM continues to thrive. |
