Mechanical
Aaron Boecherer
Co-Captain/Technical Lead
Hello. I'm Aaron Boecherer, one of the Co-Captains of this year's team. I also serve as a leader of the technical departments, but I mainly contribute to the mechanical side of the robot. This will be my 3rd year on this team, as well as in FIRST. Before FIRST, I was on a Vex VRC team for 2 years and served in the mechanical department. In school, I'm involved in several clubs, as well as our school's orchestra as a violinist. Things I enjoy in my free time are wasting my life away watching youtube or anime, modeling gunpla (look it up), and worrying too much about the robot. Also robotics is a sport!!

Connor Tran
Build Specialist
My name is Connor Tran and I am a ninth grader at Gabrielino High School. This is my first year with team lockdown as well as FTC. I am part of the build/cad team, so my job is to 3D model the robot through software, and then put the actual thing together. I technically have had three years experience in FLL (first LEGO league), but I have only competed once, due to an issue with the team. However, in that competition, we were able to clinch third place in total points from the missions, which exceeds expectations from a group that has never competed as a team before. I enjoy playing video games like Call of Duty, Minecraft, and Rainbow Six Siege. I also swim for SGSG. Engineering has always been my thing, and I plan on contributing numerous ideas to the robot for this season.

Hello there! I'm Carin and I am a member of the technical team, who is currently a sophomore attending Temple City High-School. This is my first year participating in robotics. I love the idea of innovation and creativity going into the building of robots. I am inventive myself, making little creations out of random scraps of material. I am currently part of the cross-country and track team at my school. In addition, I love doing music. Taking apart in my school's orchestra, I play the violin. I also play the piano. Although I am passionate about school and my extra-curricular activities, on my free time I love doing arts and crafts!

Kyla Penamante
Programming/Business Specialist
Hello, I'm Kyla! I'm currently a freshman going to Gabrielino High School. I am part of the Programming and Business Departments. This is my first year participating in FIRST. Other than robotics, I do karate and jiu-jitsu for four days a week. I also regularly create graphics for friends, organizations, or businesses. In my free time, I usually like watching vlogs on YouTube and playing volleyball with my family. Additionally, I enjoy listening to music, especially to artists like Conan Gray, Keshi, and Luke Chiang. During summer breaks (or just any long term break from school), I tend to make my own digital art, build websites, or shop for clothes online. Overall, I would say I'm an easygoing person. I look forward to a great season this year!
